History:
Monroe College, (New York) was founded in 1933 by Mildred King who recognized that students needed a strong educational foundation for a successful career in business. Today, with the increasing complexity, pace and globalization of the economy, the need for a solid business education is more necessary than ever.
Monroe College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation. The college is authorized by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York to confer the Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.), Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees. Its curricula are registered by the State Education Department.
