History:
Chatham College was established in 1869. At the Bachelor’s level, the College accepts only women but at the Master’s and Doctoral levels, the College accepts both men and women. The College is considered to be one of the best in America.

Chatham College is home to 950 undergraduate and graduate students on 32 park-like acres in the Shadyside area of Pittsburgh. The College's $50 million endowment is among the largest per student in the nation. Chatham remains a private, selective, fully accredited, nonsectarian institution, offering baccalaureate degrees only to women. Master's degrees, continuing education programs, and teacher certification are offered to women and men.

Chatham College has integrated degrees which enable students to earn both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in only 5 years. The College is prepared to give conditional admission to students with low TOEFL scores of between 150 and 213.
