History:
The University was founded in 1969. Located on beautiful Vancouver Island, Malaspina University-College has played an active role in the cultural, intellectual, and economic life of the central Vancouver Island region since its starting. The main campus is located in Nanaimo, and regional campuses have been established in Duncan and Parkville, as well as in Powell River on the B.C. mainland. Malaspina University-College offers a range of undergraduate degrees, as well as a wide variety of career/technology programs leading to one-year certificates and two-year diplomas, many of which ³ladder² into degree programs. Faculty at Malaspina place a strong emphasis on teaching and learning and also engage their students in research and scholarly activity.
Malaspina University-College has a strong commitment to internationalization and provides innovative opportunities for global understanding to its students, faculty and community. Malaspina University-College delivers an MBA and International MBA in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, in the United Kingdom.
